Strung high from the Olympic exhilarations (like them bread and circuses to pass the hours) it’s Census 2021 night tomorrow. It’s all on-line and you can lodge early. As I did.
There was some system problems last time. Experienced none of that.

Did mine a few days ago. I actually received a paper leaflet with return envelope that I could have used. It seems that only some areas did. I wonder how they decided that.
Since I work for a government revenue department I always struggle with, " What are the main goods produced or main services provided by the employer’s business?" I think in reality, since we make nothing and just take money from people and businesses, the answer is none.
I wonder how many people simply don’t have internet these days? Seems likely to be disproportionately older people.
My suspicion is that they would do this to a representative sampling so they can compare and see if doing it by paper vs online shows any notable biases.
That makes sense. And they wouldn’t really have to send out that many paper leaflets to get a statistically significant sample.
Mine went something like
Q: What is your job? A: Dog walker
Q: What do you do A: Walk dogs
Q:Some other question requiring the same answer: Q:Walking of the dogs, I do it.
