auto parts question 98 Escort

My son just called wondering if there was a fuel shut off switch on a 98 Ford Escort.

Hell I don’t know.

It seems a buddy of his put his Escort in a ditch last night. They pulled it out but it won’t start.

They seem to think there is a safety switch somewhere but one is still passed out and the other wants the vehicle out of his driveway.

any ideas???

There sure is. It’s in the trunk. Check your manual to find the exact location. It’s a safety thing.

They took 4 shovels of mud from around the radiator and got it started.

I suppose the guy has more than one headache now:D
