Auto Title Question

I hope my friends here can help, and no, I am not seeking legal advice!

I bought a truck in 2004, and exchanged it for another vehcile as I didnt like the truck…well, in the process, when the truck loan was paid off for by the bank (when I bought the new car), they sent me the title to the truck :smack: – even though I didnt have the truck…

Now based on their mistake, I have the title to the truck…as such, do I have any owner ship in the truck (as I have a title)? :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for your help!

Based on th eway the OP is worded I suspect that these transactions (sale and exchange) took place at a car dealer.
This means that there will be a paper trail. Paper trails are a bad thing if you try to claim that the truck is yours. It isn’t. (You exchanged it for another vehicle)
I am not sure just what the charges would be, fraud probably, felony stupid maybe.
Don’t do it.
