automatical capital letters in microsoft word

Is there a way to stop Word from automatically capitalizing the first word in a sentence? I don’t always use capitals, especially in lists, and having to go back and convert a long list of words into all lowercase is annoying.
I have Word 2000 v. 9 if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance…

In Word 97 it’s under Tools…AutoCorrect. There’s an option to enable or disable automatic capitalization. I imagine it’s in much the same place in 2000.

  1. Highlight your text

  2. [ Format | Change Case ]

  3. Select how you want your case.

  4. RTFM

Thank you! That did it.

Yes, because my computer actually came with a written manual for Word, and that “help” file is just so darn helpful, I should have thought of using it… :stuck_out_tongue:
