how to stop automatically changing i to I in MS word

In microsoft word, whenever I type an i it is automatically ‘corrected’ to be an I. This would be useful if I was writing about me, when I would be using the 1st person singular I to refer to myself. However, as I am writing a mathematical report, I am using i to refer to a mathematical variable.

Anyone, is there anyway to turn this automatic thing off in particular. I don’t mind automatically capitalising the first letter of a sentence, but I do in the case of i’s.

Go to Tools->Autocorrect. Find i and I in the list boxes there and delete them.

Great, thanks for that.

You’re welcome.
