Allow me to vent a little this morning. I’m getting married in October, everything is set except weather, I saw Halloween stuff out at the store last night and almost burst into tears thinking this is coming waaaay too fast, and my bridezilla at home is hanging on by barely a thread!
And that’s the good news. I was informed of a promotion I will be getting at work that will mean slightly less travel and more responsibility over industrial sites…[less digging and more research] the money is very nice but I love being in the field.
I notice they never ask you if you want a promotion they just give them to you along with a plethora of more responsibility. Luckily I am closer to becoming the They so I will not have to worry about having a say in things, I’ll be the one saying them…
Wedding plans are all falling into place and yet I still feel extremely rushed… Is this normal? seven weeks away, OH GOD SEVEN WEEKS AWAY!!!:eek:
::Grabbing Antiquarian’s hand and administering a soothing pat-pat-pat:: There, there sweetie. Settle down. It will be fine! Just fine! Take deep breaths. Everything will be wonderful.
About your promotion … congratulations! Sorry you’ll be in the field less, but yay for more money.
So happy to hear you’re getting married! My best to Bridezilla! (hee hee)
Thanks Ellen and Baker. Uh Boy, I never thought this was going to be so difficult to plan…
Case in Point: Last night over dinner on first glass of wine, we were discussing the layout of our reception. I idly mentioned, “why don’t we just have people sit wherever they want to. That way we don’t have to worry about mom sitting near dad (messy divorce 17 years ago never healed) or aunt edna and cousin beany …”
bridezilla:  what if people sit closer to the head table than my mother and father? then what?! No, No we are doing table arrangements and seating. And I 'm not going to bed before it’s done.
third glass of wine she’s asleep and I’m watching the new Lord of the rings DVD…
