Avatars are the absolute worst.
It remains a mystery why you use them at other MB’s, like The Gweeb.

My main problem is that I don’t think any of the existing themes look good with avatars. The image is just out there. Though maybe this has to do with the avatars themselves: many are dark and boxy looking.
It’s safest to never assume ole drunky is being serious.
To qualify for membership, you need an average of at least 50 posts per day within your first five days of joining the board. You’re off to a strong start, but need to step it up a little. Good luck!
Then you may not like this board. We think about things. A lot. Naming the pros and cons is a good thing. Discussing the possible downsides is a smart thing to do.
And, while we may not have rules about avatars (yet), our number one rule is “don’t be a jerk.” It is very likely that jabs against avatars would cross the line. Jabs against usernames usually do. You can’t call me “BigTurd,” for example.

All the things you mentioned don’t happen on the dozen or so boards with avatars I’ve belonged to over the years. Going back to the late 1990s. :shrug:
An occasional comment about a provocative avatar. No more than that.
Remember, we’ve had them for less that 24-hours. I’m guessing the mods will work out the kinks in how they look and work with the various themes.
