Howard the Duck will defeat Thanos.
Early Reactions to Endgame are very positive.
Ahhhhhhhhgh! The wait is killing me.
And *I’ll *be seeing it tomorrow.
As will I, starting 1145 local - about eighteen hours from now!
I’m pretty stoked.
I couldn’t get tickets until next tuesday so i expect i won’t be able to avoid spoilers that long, bleh.
I just checked the schedule for my local twenty-screen multiplex for Saturday. They have showings every 20-30 minutes. And I only saw three or four other movies listed, so they’re devoting most of the screens to this movie.
I don’t remember a theater quite doing this, even for huge releases. But, yep … our biggest local cineplex is devoting 19 of 20 screens to Endgame this weekend.
And come Monday, April 29th … all 20 screens will be showing Endgame. Probably just until Friday, May 3rd, but still.
Wait, it’s just two days now? I guess that’s what I get for waiting so long to see Captain Marvel.
I’ve got 11AM tix for Friday. My scheduler has an appointment in there ‘Steve Rogers, 11AM’.
I also have tickets for the following Saturday. My oldest is back from college and we’re all going as a family. They don’t know I’m going opening day.
I’m not going to hell for that, am I?
Yes. Yes you are.
The movie starts in 15 minutes; we`ve got tickets for an IMAX show in a week.
Just got home, after seeing it the first time.
Wow.
No, I’m still stunned. I laughed, got teary-eyed…often within minutes of each other. It was a satisfying conclusion, not just to the story, but to the various characters’ arcs.
Should we start a separate thread for spoilers? Or now that it’s out will we just amend this thread?
Until that’s decided, let’s just say I really enjoyed it. But it was three hours long and parts of it still felt rushed. Overall, though, an incredible conclusion. Sure, there’s a Spider-man film coming out in a few months and we’ll certainly get at least one film a year for a little while, but it really does feel like the end of an era.
I’d strongly advise a new thread. I’ll go ahead and start it.
It is. For all that Feige’s said he regards the next Spider-Man movie as being the “real” end of Phase 3, this one really is the last big chapter of an arc that’s been building for years. Depending on how you count it, either 11 years (MCU) or since 2012, when Thanos turned around and smiled at the end of Avengers and we realised who was really behind Loki.
The AMC theater I’m in right now (doing the 22-movie Marvel Marathon) will be showing Endgame 24-hrs a day all weekend!
Endgame made $102 million dollars on its opening night in China, almost doubling the previous record.
I’m not seeing the movie until Saturday but can anyone here remind me which characters were disappeared at the end of the last movie and who still remains? (I’d look it up but I’m avoiding spoilers any way I can.)
All of the original characters (the ones who were in Avengers 1) remain. The rest, we either saw dusting, or we don’t know.
