aw! poor wittle Donald had his feelings hurt by those mean jokes [Trump out of 2012 race]

I’m not surprised, but I am disappointed; a Trump run would have at least been entertaining.

I think it’s really selfish of him to choose not to be President and save America from… uh, foreigners.

Wow. That may be the single most egotistical thing he’s said in this whole process. I’ll miss the comedy, but I’m glad he’s out.

Our extremely short national nightmare is over.

I think Obama’s roast of him a few weeks ago probably embarrassed him out of running.

I merged this thread into the one Northern Piper started last week and revised the thread title.

He was never going to really run. Obama making fun of him may have moved up the point where he bailed, but the real candidates are starting to actually officially declare (or declare they’re not running), so I don’t think he would’ve stayed in much longer in anycase.

But… but… but… wasn’t Trump the tough guy who was going to make all the OPEC countries cut their prices in half just by giving them one withering look of scorn?

And he can’t take a few jokes about his hair?

That’s what is so funny. He’s accusing the President’s mother of committing fraud and the President of lying to cover up the fraud and then he gets his feelings hurt when people make fun of him.

What amazed me was watching a panel of reasonably intelligent-looking people last week who were asked what they thought of Trump and if they would vote for him. A shocking number expressed admiration for the man and for his business acumen.

I think Trump’s business advice has been discredited by most every respected analyst. His companies’ numerous bankruptcies speak to that fact. He’s sold his name to a number of projects that failed and apparently feels no remorse that those willing to invest in his name lost huge. He’s a marketer, nothing more, and yet there are those that would trust our very country to this classless flim flam man.

I frequently despair over the rationales driving much of our voting public. This is one more example where that distrust is probably well-deserved.

Yeah, this is the the thing that get me. Even if you take him at his word about the bankruptcies, it’s a business tactic he uses to screw over his creditors and leave his investors hanging in the breeze.

And then there’s all the talk about how the US should literally plunder any country that we send troops into, not to mention simply threaten every other country into submission. At least he’s smart enough not to say exactly what he’ll threaten them with.

One of the reasons some people figured Trump would never run is that he would have had to disclose a lot of information about his net worth. I read he promised last month that he would do that, and of course, he didn’t. He is very rich but probably not nearly as rich as people think, and his primary skill is certainly marketing himself.

Shocker: billionaire finds out that earning the respect of people who aren’t on your payroll is more difficult than expected.

Obviously, the American people just don’t understand how successful and classy the Donald really is.

And until they acknowledge how classy he is, he promises to FUCK THEM UP!

I noticed Trump’s candidacy has been talked about in magazines in the past tense the past couple weeks. I guess they weren’t wrong

Well, now that he’s out I hope he gets some Miracle Salve from Dr. Pendyke to put on the mange he clearly has going on his head.
