Yup. I’m going to haul my ancient and balding self down to the Hammersmith Odeon tonight to see the classic line up of Judas Priest who I last saw in about 1982. Dude (I think you have to say this word a lot to be down with the kids).
They’re supported by the Scorpions dude (meh).
I am rather looking forward to it.

How much are they paying you?
Dude.
Old - dude.
Bow to your knees and repent if you please!
Love 'em or hate 'em, Judas Priest is very good at what they do. Definitely one of the best guitar tandems in rock, ever. I do prefer their early stuff, though, before they became a parody of themselves…
I got their new album, Angel Of Retribution. It’s O.K., but it doesn’t have any real fast stuff on it.
Kiddies, if you want to hear a badass live album, go get Unleashed in the East.

Sweet, let us know how the show goes.
I saw them a few years ago with Ripper and they were pretty good. I like the new album, except there’s not a whole lot of the tandem guitars going on. I can’t wait to see them, I’m hoping they make the states this year. I was close to being able to see them in Hungry last year when my motorcycle broke down there, but I got picked up that day.
I didn’t realise they were still going.
How many of the original band members are left?
All original band members except for the drummer (Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, K.K. Downing, Ian Hill), but they went through several drummers throughout their career, anyway: Alan Moore, Simon Phillips, Les Binks, Dave Holland (the convicted pervert), and now Scott Travis, who’s been with them for a few years, are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
…oh, and none of them have died from bizarre gardening accidents, choking on someone else’s vomit, or Spontaneous Human Combustion…(knock on wood).
Long time Judas Priest fan here. Seen them a couple of times, back in the good old days. “British Steel” and “Hell Bent for Leather” being my favorite JP albums…
Dudes; I’ll let you know how it went. Dudes.

In short - they rocked. It was great fun. They only have one song - they just play it a different speeds but the set was Tap-tastic and it was very very loud - much louder than anything I’ve heard recently - as loud as Lizzy or Zep.
I didn’t think you could play that loud anymore.
