You know, he did decline to go earlier on, saying he had a lot of stuff to do, until it was pretty much made known to him that since all the other heads of state would be there for their bids, it’d make him look bad and reflect poorly on the bid if he didn’t show. I actually read the article, and it’s true… worst unemployment since 1983. However, it also notes that the recession started in late 2007, so if you’re going to blame the President… this is Obama’s fault how? Especially when that same article notes that the last quarter has shown economic improvement, and that companies are simply too wary to loosen their belts quite yet.
Apparently, it’s okay to blame a recession that started before he was elected on Obama, but not credit any of the recovery(during his term, no less) to him.
