Quit yer trolling, Bricks.
Oh and PS, not being able to get a grin off your face because, in your mind, the entire nation has suffered a humiliation, is a little telling. If anything, the wingnuts should be upset about this, not doubling over with petulant glee. I have a feeling that if Obama slipped and accidently pressed the nuke-the-world button and ended human civilization, the last thought through republicans’ minds as everybody else huddled in their basements with their children would be “I knew he’d screw up eventually!”
Yo Jimmy Joe, Imma let you finish, but Stephe96 had the stupidest comment of all time. Of ALL TIME. Since 1983, yo.
Oh, and PPS, nobody says “cronies” anymore. It sounds like an Italian appetizer.
I’ll have a large with mushrooms and peperoni, and some extra-cheese cronies.
I wouldn’t worry about you, personally. There are still plenty of us around that recognize that you have a functioning brain, complete with cerebrum. But I’m telling you, if you and the rest of the intelligent, sane conservatives don’t try to do something to take back the Republican Party, you’re going to be an island in a sea of howling monkeys.
I WANT the Republicans to become sane again, because I really do think that we need two sides pulling on the rope from opposite directions to make things work governmentally. But the simple fact is that, right now, there’s Democrats pulling and Republicans working energetically to completely unwind the rope, strand by strand, because they can’t deal with a world where a black Democrat is the President of the United States.
I will never get tired of this meme.
Actually the OP was two hours late - Limbaugh was already predicting this as the beginning of the end of his presidency at 12:06pm EDT. I was listening. (Sometimes I like to listen in on the enemy.)
Masochist.
I know! This is the second time I’ve heard/seen it used today and I giggle. Giggle, I say!
I wonder if Spain and Japan’s wingnuts are celebrating the humiliation of their leaders too. Or are wingnuts who want to see their country’s leader fail at the expense of the country itself a purely American thing?
We could have solved this problem nicely by electing Michael Steele, but nooooo!
Growing development of a sense of humor. Soon, he is ours…
The OP appears to think the IOC is an open and honest organization. The Olympic Ideal and Olympic reality are two different things, starting with a corrupt IOC.
You can believe all you want that Rio “won” on it merits, but corruption has run the IOC, in particular, and the Olympics, in general, for a very long time.
Alan Keyes for 2012. He knows how to bring sanity back to government, and with it will naturally follow the Olympics.
The race card? Seriously? That’s all you got? Pretty weak.
Allow me to second this.
As soon as the Republicans stop telling my friends they can’t marry, as soon as they stop letting the Moral Majority dictate public policy, as soon as they stop using fear and hysteria to get votes, I’ll start voting for them again.
I *hate *belonging to a political party. I want to vote for the politicians I want, not the ones I’m forced to choose because one side has become so insane.
That seems to be a concise description of today’s circumstances. And it perfectly explains their antics.
As others continue to say, an opposition party is necessary to a working democracy. But not a party simply working as opposition to their own country’s best interests.
Bricker, you’ve condemned them as far as this OP goes. You’ve got to go farther, take the Old Party back, and make it Grand once more. Your (self identified) compatriots are doing their ongoing best to trash it.
If Obama had gone to Copenhagen and Chicago had won the bid, what would the frothing morons have said - that it’s another indication that he’s attempting to win huge bribes and kickbacks for his corrupt Chicago cronies?
If Obama had NOT gone to Copenhagen, and Chicago had won the bid, what would the frothing morons have said? That it was an indication that Obama was unnecessary, a weak and worthless leader?
If Obama had NOT gone to Copenhagen, and Chicago had lost the bid, would they have said that he SHOULD have gone, and that his failure to go indicates that he doesn’t care about America?
I’m kinda half-serious here - I can’t fathom why this is considered a humiliation or a personal defeat for Obama, instead of something that two OTHER cities/nations lost this time, and countless cities/nations have lost through the history of the Olympic bidding.
I thought I had gotten to a point where I could sort of put my head into the headspace of the frothing morons, but this reaction is beyond me.
No, I’m pretty clear on that. Rio probably “won” because they offered the IOC larger bribes. Hell, even the French figure skating judge voted for Rio.
It’s not the only card, but it *is *trump.
Hell, you yourself brought it up by mentioning his middle name.
