Yep, just thought i’d share this… My brother got an email the other day, and it was the traditional “This really happened to someone i know” email urban legend. It was the one where there woman stops at a gas station, only to be told by the attendant there was a murderer hiding in her backseat. Hadn’t seen this one in a while, but it appears to be making the rounds again… Of course i sent her a nice reply, which included a link to www.snopes.com . Anyways…
“…the dark side of the mirror always threw our malice back…”
Axe murderer. Always the friggin’ axe. Was there ever a prominent murder in which the victim was killed (not posthumously dismembered) with an axe? Well, OK, there was Lizzy Bordon. But she was a woman who killed her parents, not an asylum escapee. And technically, it was a hatchet not an axe.
Damn it, I’ve said time and again that we need tighter regulation on ownership of Axes! They are simply too dangerous to be in the hands of the general public! Nobody except lumberjacks and the fire department has a legitimate reason to own one, and sporting use must be regulated by a strict licensing program!
Not a day goes by that I don’t hear about some poor lady going home from work who is killed by an AXE from her back seat! Axe violence is at an all-time high (94.7% of all lumber-related deaths are caused by an Axe) and needs to be brought to an end!
An Axe in the home is 87% more likely to chop up a member of your family than a tree! How many times has a poor victim been cleaning his Axe, only to have it suddenly turn on him and cause a nasty cut?

There was this guy who went berzerk on an Alaska Airlines flight the other day. According to the news reports, he did use an ax to bust through the cockpit door. Do they keep those things handy in case you gotta go real bad?
