This is so sad ! I am grown woman who has suddenly started collecting and playing with dolls.

It started with ebay’s porcelain dolls. I feel in love how could I not ? There were beautiful dolls, some with an opening bid of one cent. So I bid on and won a lot of dolls.

Then I peeked in on the antique dolls, and won an auction for a Marcie doll made in the late 40’s/early 50’s.

After that my mistake was looking at a Berenguer doll. These dolls look so real that it is scary. Well needless to say there are now two of these dolls on their way to my home. And I am saving my nickles and dimes to try for a “reborn” berenguer doll. People buy the doll at a toy store and rework then. They give them a nice airbrushing with flesh tone paint, add eyelashes, paint their finger and toe nails, even give them baby hair. Beautiful babies !
I have seen these go for over three hundred dollars.

Pray that the LIONsob doesn’t kill me !

That is my mundane pointless post for the day. Please be gentle with me, after all I am expecting two babies !

You poor thing. You’ll never be normal again…

Nah, my mom wishes she could collect dolls, but hasn’t the storage space or money to get into it in a large way. So now, instead, she’s bought ME a couple of them. I have no idea why, except that she likes them. I certainly have never expressed an interest in them…Maybe because I’ve bought a couple for nieces for Christmas? Whatever.

My wife collects dolls, too. They’re everywhere. There’s even a couple in the bathroom.

She can’t look at a doll without saying, “Oh, it’s adorable! I must have it.”

I told her that what she must have is therapy, so she went out and bought two more dolls.

Maybe I’ll start a collection of Action Heroes just for the sake of balance.
