What about just flavoring it differently? I grill pork tenderloin on the grill. Second and third nights, my wife’ll cut them up and spread them on top of her Big Salad.
Me, I smother the leftovers in Bar-B-Que sauce… so I look forward to leftovers.
Come to think of it, I do that with almost all leftovers…
I’m out of my ADD meds. I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. I thought it was methylphenidate. I foolishly forgot to check. I got home, took the bottle out of the bag and found it was Mirtazipine. I still have Mirtazipine. I took my last methylphenidate this morning.
Besides all the obvious ADD symptoms I will have until I get more meds, without the medication I am extremely tired and sleepy. The pharmacist said I could definitely pick it up on Monday. I expect fun times til then.
I was in that same ‘No ADD Meds’ boat, and remembered a doc I’d gone to who said “The meds you’re on are basically giving you a jolt, like caffeine.”
So I made sure to have a large seriously-high-caffeine coffee first thing in the morning, then again noon-ish and four-ish. I spent the money on good coffee/espresso from a local coffee shop…
…and I made it through almost a week before my doc got back to civilization!
Thanks, but caffeine doesn’t actually keep my awake. I thought it had no effect on me. Then, I discovered Bosco coffee syrup. I consumed the bottle in very short time. During that time, I really could not concentrate. I was worried my medication had stopped working and was planning a call to my psychiatrist. Then, I figured out what was going on.
BTW Before anybody suggests getting an emergency 48 hour supply, you can’t do that with methylphenidate. It’s a controlled substance and can only be dispensed with a prescription.
All my prescriptions can only be dispensed with a prescription, but if I run out, I can ask a pharmacist, and they’ll give me a dozen pills. Then when I get the scrip, they’ll fill it minus 12 pills.
Yep. I suppose it varies by jurisdiction, but I did read that around here you can do that. The pharmacist is authorized, at his discretion, to be the “prescriber of record”. I don’t suppose it will work for narcotics and other things they are super sensitive about, but my pharmacist as much as said that for ordinary stuff like blood pressure medication, no problem if it’s been prescribed on an ongoing basis and I just happened to hit the refill limit.
Youtube has started serving up ads in Spanish because, why? The last time I was in a Spanish speaking country the internet was arpanet and not accessible by the public.
It’s even been a couple of years since I was in San Antonio.
