Babar's Picks

Pugluvr’s post on the top ten movies of all time got me thinking. I am a huge movie buff. I love them. In fact, that’s what I want to do with my life. These movies inspire me to make good movies. So, here’s my list of great movies that are certainly not the greatest flicks of all time, but if you like the kind of movies I do, I highly recommend:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
Things to do in Denver When You’re Dead
Sling Blade
Being John Malkovich
U-Turn
Very Bad Things
What Dreams May Come (the only tear-jerker on my list, but a damn fine movie)
Casino
The Deciever
anything by the Cohen Brothers
A Simple Plan
Julian Poe
What are your favorite movies that are certainly not the best flicks of all time?

Now, of course, it * will look like I’m following YOU all over the board tonight! *

I sure agree about ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ but, ’
Things to do in Denver’?? Oh, wow, that was beyond depressing. I can’t imagine what Chris was thinking to be in that at all.

Suicide Kings
The Fifth Element
Broken Arrow
What’s Eating Gilbert Grape
Reservoir Dogs
Caged
Little Foxes * both of these are older, but still fantastic movies *

sure it’s depressing, but damn good. and I kinda like depressing movies, to a point.

and you can officially add Gilbert Grape to my list. Great one, Anti Pro

I agree with ‘anything by the Cohen brothers’.
But I hated both ‘Things to do in Denver when you’re dead’ and ‘What dreams may come’.
