My girlfriend will be going out of the country tomorrow to attend her sister’s baby shower. I need advice on what to send for the baby (boy), her sister and possibly her sister’s husband. I work in NYC so have access to stores. There’s a Macy’s near my train station. Thanks in advance!
Where do they live, and what do they not have access to there, or have access but it’s horribly expensive or something? There are a million things you could do - need more info.
They are in Brazil, but in a major city so I think they have access to everything we have in the US.
Amber teething ring for mom, a funny “dads guide to baby stuff” book for dad, and Sophie the giraffe toy for the kid.
I mean Amber teething ring necklace for mom.
Little onesies and blankets are typically welcome. Little ones go through them very quickly.
You can get newborn size or even 3 months.
My mom’s recommendation is always to get clothing in non-newborn sizes: everyone will give the kid newborn stuff, and then unless they have lots of hand-me-downs, in a few months they are starting from scratch again.
Books. Baby board books or a nice volume of nursery rhymes for bed time.
Thanks. Are all these available in the same store? Sorry, I haven’t bought baby stuff in a while. And too late for online.
I appreciate the clothing advice but just realized that the items need to be small. Her bags look pretty full already.
Sounds like you need to just find the nearest baby store and go there. I’m sure the people who work there will be happy to tell you what is appropriate, in your price range and “hot” right now.
Here’s some lists:
Thanks everyone. I got everything done at Short Hills mall. The only problem is I forgot to get something for my girlfriend.:smack:
