Very cool photo! I’ve never seen that before. It looks as though they have little legs and feet in there.
They’re such cute little damned souls.
Damned cute.
I never realized they had eyes/faces on the bottom…world…blown.
This may just be the greatest description of a creature…ever.
Those are really cute.
The trouble starts when we discover that’s actually a picture of alien space invaders & those critters are 500 feet on a side with a taste for bon bon-sized hairless fangless clawless Earth bipeds.
A salute to the vivid writing skills of the OP, although I may never eat ravioli again.
I only copied and pasted the caption.
Well, kudos to whoever wrote it, then. Great caption. Great photo, too!
GQ question: are what looks like legs the vestigial bones?
They might still give a solid cartilaginous structure for leverage for the muscles that flap the wings(?) to work off of.
Stingrays’ eyes are on the top. The ‘eyes’ next to the mouth are nostrils - stingrays, like the related sharks, have a pretty good sense of smell, which they use to find food.
