Congrats on the beautiful baby. You life will be changing in ways you cannot even imagine, but you know what? It’s all good.

Cutest Little Raspberry ever! I esp like the picture of her yawning.
PBBBTTTTTHHHHH!
Welcome Bridget! U iz cute babby!
Happy new baby to you! She is very cute. Not all newborns are, you know. Kiddo was kind of funny looking at first. Yours is adorable! I love the name Bridget, too.
Welcome to the world, Little Raspberry.
Congrats, pbbth. She’s a cutie!
She really is gorgeous
Congrats!
The pic of her yawning is my favorite … so far hint hint
Congrats all of you!
Congratulations! How exciting! And I hope she stays this way, after how difficult your pregnancy was, you deserve an easy child.
What a little princess!
Squee!
I swear, Doper babies are the cutest in the world!
Congratulations, and it sounds like you’re coping admirably with new motherhood!
She’s gorgeous! I’m sorry about the four sticks-I seem to remember you not being particularly fond of needles. Congrats to you for getting through everything so well without panicking. Does she have her father wrapped around her little finger yet?
I’m sorry. She’s too cute. You’ll have to give her back and get a normal baby.
Congratulations!!
Life as you used to know it is gone, of course. Welcome to the wonderful world of being a parent, where joy and exhaustion duke it out for years without either one ever getting a clear lead. But damn, is it ever worth it!
The needles were the worst part. The nurse screwed up my IV and I bled everywhere all over the room, it took 4 tries to numb me with the spinal, and then they had to give me another injection and take blood over the rest of my stay. I did get through it all but not without panicking. Loud, screaming, crying panicking.

Get used to that. She’ll be all about Mommy for a while, and then one day, she will suddenly become Daddy’s Girl. And you’ll think to yourself “I carried you all those months, and look at this big scar from having myself sliced open to deliver you safely, and I fed you and bathed you and changed a zillion diapers, and this is how you treat me?!” But it’s all normal, and the pendulum will swing back eventually, so enjoy those days for what they are. Nothing is much cuter than a tiny little girl leading a besotted grown man by the nose.
My favorite moment when Lily was born wasn’t the first time I held this perfect little creature, ('though that was amazing.) It was the look of teary-eyed wonder on her father’s face when he first held her, as though she was the first child ever, and as though I had conjured the most miraculous being on the planet. I’m enjoying the Mommy phase, but I will actually enjoy the “I love my daddy best” phase also.
If I may make an observation from the other side of the equation (and I’m going to whether I may or not), my Dad Moment™ with the Elder Ottlet came a bit later, after the Apgars and the mecomium poop, when they were putting her mother to bed. A nurse directed me to sit in a recliner and handed EO (who was kinda fussy with all this commotion) to me. As soon as I leaned back a bit she curled up in a ball on my chest, let out a sigh bigger than she was, and fell asleep. That was 25+ years ago, and the little finger still has a hold on me.
Looks like Bridget’s father is right on schedule.
Wow pbbth, you’ve gone from single to dating to married to mom.
Makes me feel old.
