Well, it was only three days. I thought maybe some of you would have seen me as BANNED and wonder what the heck I did. I don’t have a history of being the kind of poster who’d get himself 86’ed from the boards. I’m just glad that we were able to figure out what the problem was.
Incidentally, something your ISP cannot do is provide you with an activity log for your IP address from Time X to Time Y. Apparently, they don’t log activity as it would be an invasion of privacy. That’s what I was told, anyway. Yeah? Then how do some people get arrested for downloading copyrighted material or kiddie porn?
If I had noticed, I would have thought you were trafficing in 78 RPM porn or got caught with underage, vintage virgin vinyl.

Hey, sorry about that! It was nice of you to mention me. I didn’t see that thread when I got back to the boards. I don’t tend to visit ATMB very often. But I appreciate that you were concerned about what happened.
No, I’m getting that damned cold that’s going around. Otherwise, yeah. I put four years of my life into this place. It was very strange not being able to continue it.
No worries. I wasn’t going to make a point of it, til you started whining that no one had noticed that you had even been banned.
Also, whatever your posting status might have been: between the time that thread was closed, and when you opened this one, your tag no longer said ‘BANNED’ - just ‘Member’ IIRC. So, it’s not quite as surprising as you might think that more people didn’t notice that you were banned.
While Jerry and I were trying to identify the source of the data being sent to them, he changed my status to Member so I could access the board. I couldn’t sign in, but he had to change my status so I could at least connect without getting the screen saying my IP had been banned.
After it got worked out, he changed it back to Charter Member.
