Back-to-School Dopers: Check in With Your 1 Month Status Report

So, I started Law school August 22, so here it is one month gone by. I’m definitely digging the experience. I’ve made some cool friends (some but not all non-trads like me), am keeping up with the reading, really like all my professors – like the one who used to be a standup comedian, the one who writes novels on the side, and even the one we call “Dr. No” for his habit of wailing “noooooooo!” at us from time to time. I also signed up for the Courtroom Advocates Project, wherein I’ll assist women in domestic violence situations in writing petitions for restraining orders and accompany them to court. Overall, its going well and I’m really happy with my decision to go to back to school for law. So far it suits me. Of course, no grades yet. Guess you’ll need an update at finals time to find out how I really did!

So, fellow returning students, how is school going for you? Noticeing any benefits to being non-tradiaitional? the Non-trads I see around school seem to be on a more even keel than those who came straight from undergrad. They’re just as stressed, but less panicked, if that makes any sense.
