background talking Money & Spill the Wine"

In the sond “Spill the Wine” by War, there is a girl speaking Spanish- what does she say?

And at the end of the song “Money” by Pink Floyd there is a conversation, one line goes “But I certainly was in the race…” Anyone have more?

It’s not a conversation, but, rather, spoken responses to written questions that were recorded, then used at various points on that album. IIRC, the voices heard at that point were answering the question “When was the last time you were in a fight, and were you in the right?”

Could it be “I certainly was in the right”? Lyrics found from a Google search here might help.

Can’t help with Spill the Wine though.

Wikipedia on the voices heard on Dark Side of the Moon:

Spill the Wine: The woman speaking Spanish in the background was Eric Burdon’s girlfriend.

Es una cosa de locos, pero asi es, bueno, pero todas las cosas estan azul, azul, porque estoy ??? (It’s a crazy people thing, but that’s how it is, ok, but everything in blue, blue, because I am …???)

Sí aqui, pero yo no estoy aqui, mi cuerpo no esta aqui, esta volando volando, verdad, afuera (Yes here, but I am not here my body is not here my body is flying flying, right, outside)

Aqui estoy con mis padres…???..es mi onda (I am here with my parents…???..it’s my deal…)

…???..tengo, tengo (???..I have…)

Y esa mujer que le encanta…???.. (And this woman likes…???)

Sometimes ya gotta wait 37 years to learn something you’ve always wondered about.

Thanks!

Thank you all, specially Walloon and Starving Artist.

As you might imagine I was on a long car trip, playing some great classic Rock and Roll, and my mind wouldn’t let go of these questions.

Near as I can figure, with the help of Babelfish, the “Italian song” in Saturday in the Park goes “Hey, mister, it is as if…”

Forgot the Italian: "Hey, gumbarre, è se narde…" Still haven’t figured out narde.

Hmm…maybe it’s supposed to be Hey, gumbarre, è se arde… (Hey, mister, it is if it burns…)

I just wanted to say that I have once or twice considered changing my screen name to
Overfed, Log-Haired Leaping Gnome.

Then answer me this:

What’s the phone conversation in G’n’R’s cover of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door?”

Isn’t it “Overfed, Long-Haired Leaping Gnome”? :stuck_out_tongue:

Whoa, man,that’s even better!
