I need to set up an easy way for some users to create snapshot backups of their Temporary Internet files - all I want is to capture the cookies and cache, but when I copy the Temporary Internet Files folder, I get a whole load of stuff that isn’t even visible in the source location.
For example, when I copy it, out comes a folder called content.word - containing a bunch of .tmp files (presumably something to do with MS Word). This content.word folder is not visible inside Temporary Internet Files, even if I check everything relating to showing hidden/system files and folders.
What’s going on here? How can I copy just the bits I want? - wildcard based copying gets the super-hidden stuff, and anything more specific will omit files, due to the unpredictable naming of items in there…
