"Bad-ass Brass Knuckle Implants" Is this image for real or some Photoshop scam?

Is this idiocy real or not?

Bad-ass Brass Knuckle Implants

Looks real to me. I would like to point out that other pages on that site are NSFW, so don’t go snooping to see what the next or previous pages are unless it’s okay for boobies to be on your monitor.

What do “edge” and “straight edge” mean?

It’s kinda vague, really, comprising a whole lot of views. Generally, at least in my area, “straight edge” means someone who has a punk-like persona (sometimes including very violent behavior), but who eschews drugs and alcohol. Some of them go as far as acting like self-appointed vigilantes wailing on those who won’t “see the light”.

As you can tell, I’m not exactly a fan, because I’ve had my fair share who were violently homophobic. Of course I also dated one, so that’s two levels of bitter.

Are they talking about those edgie anti-drug Straight Edge dorks?
I’d love to give those bitches a brass knuckle imprint. Right into the back of their skull. DONK!!

Yeah…that’s what you want to do. Go and pick a fight with a bunch of drunk dudes. That’s how people get smacked upside the head with beer bottles.

Survival of the fittest. It’s Nature’s way.

I have no idea if it applies here, but ‘edge’ also has a meaning in the fetish community. People delving into some of the most extreme sexual fetish genres, cutting, knife play, asphyxiation, rape and a liany of other things my delicate brain can’t handle ;-).

I think it’s photoshopped.

Very obvious photoshop job to me.

Based on what? Well besides the silliness of the concept. The incision scars make it a better than average ruse of that’s the case.

From the text on the site:

Eyelid piercing?!?! Oh, god… curls up in corner

The shading on the scars seems off, and the blonde on the right clearly has some smudge tool marks around the scar. Parts of both pictures are blurred, while other parts of it are crystal clear, so there is no consistancy. Overall, the first pic is a better job than the second.

I work alot with photoshop, and it appears to me that the tricks used by the artist are the same that I would have used if I wanted to pull off this joke.

First of all, both pictures are low resolution and pixilated, making it far easier to get away with tampering with the picture. A high-resolution close-up would be far more convincing. The picture on the right is all blurry, especially around the “implant,” because the artist used the airbrush/smudge/blend tools to smooth out the edges, and also used the same in other parts of the photo to make it all match, such as her face. Also, look at the incision scars. They look “drawn-on.” And the whole “implant” on the left side simply looks askew and unnatural . . . you can just tell that it’s not a part of the original photograph. The shadowing looks inconsistent.

I’m sure this is just a funny inside joke for someone . . . “let’s post this on the internet and see what kind of comments we get . . . can you believe that people think this is real? Ha ha!”

  I KNOW!!! God, that was just the worst. Can you freakin’ imagine that?!? Yuck. Icky. Idiocy!

Now to ponder why I clicked the link to begin with, knowing what I was going to see.

It looks like it’s higher up in the second picture.

… even better, it looks like the scar is higher, and at a different angle, in the second picture…

I dunno. I clicked thru several more entries on that site, and this pic seems so VERY mild in comparison to some of the other stuff. It would be like having a site devoted to sword swallowing, and then have people freak because you posted a pic of a guy cleaning his fingernails with a pocketknife.

They mention right in the article that this is a silicon implant- it was never respresented as being an implant of real brass knuckles. This sort have thing has been done plenty before and isn’t really all that surprising. There are way more shocking implants out there. There is no reason at all to fake this. If it was, say, a dragon implanted on someone’s penis, I’d want some more proof. But this is nothing.

The second image is photoshopped, but the implant is not fake. Everyone with a copy of photoshop runs a little blur over their moles and acne before putting their pictures up on the net. She did a lot of work with the moles on her chest and probably got a little carried away making things look nice.

I think bmezine only runs pics of authentic body mods. What would be the point of them showing a pic of a mod if it was actually impossible to get it? That being said, that’s one of the ugliest mods I’ve ever seen. Ball bearing implants look less disgusting.
