I debated whether to announce this, but what the heck. If I can’t make a fool of myself in front of the Teeming Megas, then who else? And what better forum than this?
I will be on the television channel TechTV on Thursday, November 8 at 2:20 Pacific time. The show is called “Call For Help” and features, uh, stuff that helps people, especially for computers and the web. I’ll be talking about meteorites and toilets (in that order), and freezing British spies from the 1960s. It should be fun. Amazingly, my skin has cleared up (for once) so I have that going for me too.
You can check out their website at http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp where there will be a short essay written by moi about this stuff too.
I’ll do my best to watch. I do watch Call For Help once in awhile. Thinksnow, I get it on satellite TV, and I think we get it on cable too. I wanna know about meteorites and toilets. British spys freezing too.
It’s not webcast, but I have been told they will stream it on their site eventually. I will be getting a tape that I might be able to stream from my site too, if the file isn’t too big.
Hmmm… the Spy Who Came in from the Cold. I might use that today.
Heh. I was just at your site the other day; we are looking at BB software at work. I still haven’t decided, but I’ll probably go with phpBB, which is what I have on my site right now.
The TechTV place is pretty cool. The sets are slick, with (as you might expect) a lot of nifty gear everywhere. I was the oldest person there by a couple of years.
