I knew Call for help was still on the air for the Canucks… But… Is Tech TV making a come back ??

I mean I know G4 will remain G4 … but… If I can have Leo back… I dont care. Attack of the show seems to… well still suck, but Filter and G4TV.com and Electric Playground seem to piecemeal TSS back for us die hards.

Saturday:

IS CFH back on US TV… on G4 No less?

Now, if I only had G4 on my cable in college!! And its Comcast cable at that!!

Although a lot of people in the US are going to be disappointed by the fact that it’s still just the Canadian show, rebroadcast in the US. All the prices and stuff are in Canadian dollars (and sometime Australian dollars too, which have an exchange rate that’s quite close to CDN), and anything regarding cell phone carriers and ISPs are all Canadian providers.

I certainly don’t mind that though…

I never got to watch TechTV after it changed from ZDTV but man, I loved my ZDTV. CFH was the Leo Laporte show, yes? Is he still hosting?

Speaking of Leo, I realized how truly pathetic I am when I was watching “Love Actually”. Liam Neeson says to the kid “We need Kate and Leo, and we need them now” and I thought to myself… “They’re going to watch Screensavers??”

I miss DiskDoctors. They were a couple of sarcastic computer nerds who would answer computer questions while making digs at Microsoft. Being a doofus about computers, their technical answers went over my head, but a few things made sense. Their program was on at odd times on the information channel before Comcast changed the program line up a couple of years ago. I wish I could get that show again.

CFH was Leo’s show, I caught it when Chris Pirillo was host. Then he left (I got to meet Leo and Pat on a Digital Digs Roadshow, and won the 04 Almanac in the audience) Leo implied that Chris wanted out.

Leo took back over for the show until Tech TV was nuked.

I remember hearing of ZDTV, but when I told my cable company to get it, I couldnt remember the name (And it was Comcast… go figure). When we got DISH, I more or less persuaded my folks to go up a tier… so I could get Tech.

Along those lines, I have never seen this “Kate” person on TSS, but know she was a host. (I assume Under Leo, as Patrick was?). However, that was enough for me to get the joke from the love Actually post.

Now, If Eye Drops, and the rest of the GOOD tech tv shows could find a home…
