Bad bad bad Beck has found a fresh new hell

Ah, that’s why she’s, “Bad, Bad, Bad”! LOL

It’s gonna take an ocean
Of calamine lotion
You’ll be scrratchin’ like a hound
The minute you start to mess around!

My condolences. I know the feeling. I’m proud as hell that my doctor said “That’s the worst case of contact dermatitis I’ve ever seen!”

I didn’t ask him why he wanted it. Your guess is as good as mine.
That man!!!

I hate to be That Guy, but despite its widespread popular use, I understand that there’s very little clinical evidence that aloe vera has any positive effect on skin problems, and some people have an allergic reaction to aloe vera itself.

I sometimes get contact dermatitis from handling my pets. Clobetasol quite reliably clears it up, but it’s a prescription medication and of course YMMV.

I’m at the doctor right now. They all jump back as soon as they see the rash.

I’m jacked up bad bad bad!

Aloe Vera is good for minor burns:

Home Remedies for Burns: What You Should Use.

### 4. Aloe vera

Aloe vera is often touted as the “burn plant.” Studies show evidence that aloe vera is effective in healing first- to second-degree burns. Aloe is anti-inflammatory, promotes circulation, and inhibits the growth of bacteria. Apply a layer of pure aloe vera gel taken from the leaf of an aloe vera plant directly to the affected area. If you buy aloe vera in a store, make sure it contains a high percentage of aloe vera. Avoid products that have additives, especially coloring and perfumes.

My hypothetical husband would have to submit a detailed requisition and get my budget clearance before a thing like that showed up at my door. Hmm … That’s probably just one of several reasons why I’m single. LOL

Eh. It’s his money.

The lil’wrekker said maybe he’s making her a tiny house.

It can’t be that, it would have to be called a ‘medium’ house.

Your own “studies” cite says

Due to the differences of products and outcome measures, there is paucity to draw a specific conclusion regarding the effect of aloe vera for burn wound healing. However, cumulative evidence tends to support that aloe vera might be an effective interventions used in burn wound healing for first to second degree burns. Further, well-designed trials with sufficient details of the contents of aloe vera products should be carried out to determine the effectiveness of aloe vera.

Emphasis added. So I think my statement “there’s little clinical evidence” is more accurate than “Aloe Vera is good for minor burns”.

Ok, but here is a newer study (pdf sorry)
https://www.jpma.org.pk/PdfDownload/4001
Results: In patients treated with Aloe Vera gel, healing of burn wounds were remarkably early than those patients
treated with 1% silver sulfadiazine. All the patients of Aloe Vera group were relieved of pain earlier than those
patients who were treated with SSD.
Conclusion: Thermal burns patients dressed with Aloe Vera gel showed advantage compared to those dressed with
SSD regarding early wound epithelialization, earlier pain relief and cost-effectiveness

Indeed; this is what I’m picturing the “building” looking like:

Either that, or a University of Miami football uniform:

The guy selling the ugly building: “Well, we have one in stock, but the colors are really garish, and no one’s wanted it. We’ll give it to you at 20% off.”

Keep in mind that he can always paint it and thus get the discount and the colors he really wants.

Oh, hell to the no. Or is that a typo, and you meant “cold showers”? Cold or tepid baths are recommended. Heat triggers the release of histamines. When I had the Hives from Hell, I couldn’t take even warm showers. Doc advised cool baths, which did help somewhat.

And since I’m not a doc, here’s a cite:

A hot bath or shower often produces relief in that heat releases histamine, the substance in the skin that causes intense itching. Therefore, a hot shower will cause intense itching as the histamine is being released.

DON’T take hot showers, Beck.

I’ve certainly noticed that when I have dermatitis on my hands from my rats, washing my hands in hot water greatly increases the itching.

Nah. He just ain’t got no taste.
I’m to understand the stain will darken some.

Unless it darkens to jet black, I think it’s still gonna be uggggggly.

I believe you’re correct. The green roof will still be there

Maybe you can hire Bigfoot to repaint it.

I beg to differ. He knew enough to sweep you off your feet before another swain snagged you.
