This show makes Ren and Stimpy look like the Brak Show.
I’m kind of tired of good cartoons getting the shaft after one or two successful seasons. I’m not an expert on the animation industry so perhaps I’m missing something here. I would think that they stop production of a program because they no longer believe they will make a worthwhile profit off of it. I know some cartoons pretty much show reruns forever and I’m sure the production companies still make a profit without actually having to produce anything.
I suppose one possible answer would be to boycott repeat viewings of cartoons. But I’d hesitate to take such action without a better understanding of how the animation industry works. I’d love to see more episodes of Dexter’s Lab, Johnny Bravo, and I’m looking forward to JLA. But I wouldn’t want to punish a company who’s only crime was producing a cartoon I liked but they couldn’t profit from. Oh well.

I’m such a SBSP fan. That really sucks.
SBSP is my favorite recent TV show. Most, if not all, of the sitcoms today try to hard to be like Seinfeld, or think that sexual jokes and profanity are amusing enough without any real humor in the mix. And then there are the newer cartoons out today- crap like CatDog, Rugrats, Rocket Power, and even a few of the Cartoon Network originals. Don’t get me wrong, I love The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter’s Laboratory, but they’re nothing compared to Spongebob. SBSP is funny without inappropriate content. It’s completely silly and insane. Unlike other cartoons today, that seem to focus on preteens, I guess I’ll just have to wait for reruns and a Spongebob Squarepants video collection. Is there already an SBSP video collection that I’m not aware of?
