You’ve all seen them; websites with WAY too many gimmicks that distract from the message, such as:
*flashing words,
*dancing figures,
*bouncing arrows,
*flashing or “slide-show” graphics that work fine on a slower computer but look like a cheetah on uppers on your direct 'Net connection.
It’s obvious that these webpages are the products of eager amateurs, people with a message to get out that believe the flashier the page is, the more people will notice it. Professionally-designed webpages are rarely afflicted with this kind or degree of overkill.
So list the most “gimmicky” websites you know about.

While its a cause I believe in wholeheartedly, DAMN their website is bad! The first few paragraphs flash so quickly you can barely read them – and they’re in red text, no less! The gyrating arrows make me want to look in the OTHER direction.
