BTW I’m surprised that nobody posted one of the most obvious (to me) meanings of “shot” above, a single photograph. And there were 2 meanings I didn’t know, casting a net and making a pass.

The most famous vampire, Dracula, is based on Vlad the Impaler, who was honored into the Order of the Dragon
They can be repelled by the Holy Cross.
Similar creatures exist around the world, such as the Chupacabra in Latin America, the Aswang in the Philippines and the Sasabonsam in West Africa.
They often have fangs in order to suck your blood
They can be destroyed by a stake through the heart
Only an alpha or very old and powerful vampire can create new vampires
