OK I’ll go.

Things to do on a stormy, bad-weather day

  1. Afternoon Delight (as in, have some!)

  1. Afternoon Delight (as in, have some!)
  2. curl up on the couch with a good book

I am surprised that so many obvious ones were missed on the “Songs that Mention Tools” thread – for example, Roger Miller’s ‘King of the Road’ (pushing a broom) or Elvis Presley’s ‘Steamroller Blues’ (steamrollers, or course) or Bobby Goldsboro’s ‘Elusive Butterfly’ (nets of wonder) or even Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ (a mop) – and instead we have ‘hammer’ being used a total of four times… although I doubt even I would have ever come up with ‘gas-powered weed-whacker’. Oh well.

Good calls, Bill. I’d add the Arrogant Worms’ “Pressure Washer”:

Especially nice on a wintry, stormy day.

Unless it’s raining buckets or dangerously windy, I’m almost always up for a walk in bad weather.
