I loved how many of these people smoked between events. Even Robert Conrad could be seen puffing away. And he said possibly one of the more offensive lines on reality TV in his argument with Team ABC: (pointing at Savalas and Kaplan while saying this) (paraphrased) “You’re Greek, so you just want to be an athlete. And you’re Jewish, so you just want to negotiate. And I’m German, which means I want to kill you both!”

OTOH, I would have never thought Mr. Kotter would have beaten him, and handily, in a 100 yd dash. :eek:

Keep in mind they’re actors. Conrad was probably in decent shape but he wasn’t a real fighter pilot just as Kaplan wasn’t a real teacher. So you had a race between a guy who was 31 years old and 5’11" and a guy who was 41 years old and 5’8". All things being equal, you’d expect the guy who’s younger and taller to win a footrace.
