Grinding is when you have to do a series of boring, repetitive tasks over and over in order to advance in the game (for example, in some MMOs, there are spots where you have to just keep killing monsters to get enough experience to get to the next level).

Massively Multiplayer Online game (some of them are roleplaying games (MMORPGs), some are not).
There are a lot of single-player games that require grinding as well.

I’m aware of what the concept of grinding is. But I don’t play video games so I couldn’t come up with any current examples. My post would have been something like Chip’s Challenge.
And don’t think I’m old because I’ve played Chip’s Challenge. I’m old because I’ve played Pong.
