(I had a whole bunch of those Best of the West figures! I think my parents found them on sale. I even had the buckboard–which was just the right size to hitch up to the cat. It’s probably better if you don’t ask me how I know this. :D)

You can still buy View Master reels, but they used to sell them at every tourist attraction. Some of my favorites (and they’re the one thing that I still have from my childhood) are The Civil War (Matthew Brady photographs), Philadelphia, Gettysburg Battlefield, and The Revolutionary War. (I was a history geek as a kid.)

Mine came with a bunch of Charlie Brown reels, but I had no interest in them.
