  2. Rose, a friend’s mother, born 1898, aged 99 when I met her in 1997.
  3. My mom lived to be 98.
  4. All of my grandparents were born around 1880. One of them had a daughter who lived to be 99.
  5. Mr. Thompson, a sweet old guy who’d survived the Bataan Death March.
  6. My great-grandfather passed away just shy of his 103rd birthday. (1881-1983)
  7. My paternal grandmother lived till she was 93.
  8. In 1984 I met a man who was then 102. So, born in 1882-ish.
