The worst hotels you ever stayed at, and their location:

Many cigarette burns in the carpet, and the shower didn’t flow, it just slowly oozed crud.

Stuck in snowstorm going through T.O. and booked a cheap room for the family. The room was OK, but the rest of the hotel was run down, dirty, and needed a lot of repairs. Went down to the lobby for something and realized some of the other clientele checking in and out. There was also cars, honking, yelling, fighting, doors slamming, etc… all night.

  3. Some roach motel, Hillsborough NC

I was in symphonic band in college and we stayed there one night and had to fight the roaches for bed space. That place has been closed for years and is an eyesore from the interstate. I guess the locals think it’s a money sink even to tear down.

The room carpet was so dirty that it turned our feet black

I stayed there once. It was very nice when I was there (which obviously was not while it was being renovated).
