Bullitt, I’ll give you Olive Drab… but Desert Tan?
I dislike the practice of allowing multiple entries from a single person on a single list. I understood this to be against the rules, the spirit if not the letter. Seeing this happen repeatedly is exasperating, and this nobody ain’t got time for that.
I agree.

Military colors. It’s what we called the color during Desert Storm.
I’m with Sparky. I think you’re missing the point.
What they’re saying is that nobody’s named “Desert.”
Yeah but it’s color or first name, right?
Ah, I see - you read it differently from the rest of us. I think the OP meant “a word that is both a color and a first name,” not either-or.
Yeah I was beginning to think that was what you folks thought Intergalactic Gladiator meant. And just by a stroke of luck, my first play in the category was olive drab, which just so happened to meet that misinterpreted requirement. But I’ll stand by my play, because as written that’s the category, name or color.
So let’s wrap this up, okay?

I feel just the opposite. I’ve seen us run into problems when we have a category where everyone can only post one entry. (“What was you first car” for example.)
The people who are posting in this thread are a handful of regulars and a lot of other people who just occasionally drop in. Which is fine; the way the game works, a person can join in even if they only stop by once a month. But it’s the regulars who are keeping the thread active.
If we had a rule that said the regulars could only fill in one entry in each category and then we had to wait for the occasional people to show up and finish the rest, we’d see categories that would take days or even weeks to finish.
And that’s at the beginning. Once the thread stopped being active, it would drop off the first page of the forum and that would make it far less likely that any occasional people would see it and post in it.
