I’m wondering if we can clear this up. I understood the prompt as, [Boss] [Main Character]. So, “Lou Grant, Mary Richards” works, because Lou Grant was Mary Richards’ boss on the “Mary Tyler Moore Show.” But [Boss] [Name of Show] doesn’t.

I will allow that Charles Townsend of Charlie’s Angels is just fine, but “Leon Vance, NCIS”? Who is the main character who reports to Leon Vance?

Maybe the folks who named shows instead of characters would like to edit their entries.

Leon Vance is the boss of the whole NCIS department, not just Jethro. They’re all stars!
