Hate to suggest it … does the board skew too old (myself included :smiley: ) for video-game music to be a meaningful category?

First thing I thought of when I read “video game music” was the electronic Peter Gunn theme used in the arcade game Spy Hunter. But that’s a 35-year old reference – and has no lyrics besides, as the OP specifies.

Yeah, I can remember a few tunes, or jingles, from video games, but none had lyrics. Maybe some did, but it’s been a while since I popped a quarter into a video game. Oh, wait…

If ekedolphin finds it agreeable, I think we can omit the “with lyrics” portion. I know there are lots of video game songs out there but I’m in the same boat where I am unfamiliar with any featuring music. One that I find memorable from “back in the day” is the song from Forbidden Forest.
