Always nice to see Appomattox Court House listed as such; a Civil War Geek nitpick is that it’s often listed as just Appomattox even by scholars who evidently know know App. Court House is the name of the town.

The Alamo
I don’t think the Alamo is a National Site. From what I can tell it’s owned by a non-profit organization called Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

The Alamo is a National Historic Site, so I’ll let it stay:
The Alamo is a historic Spanish mission and fortress compound founded in the 18th century by Catholic missionaries in what is now San Antonio, Texas, United States. It was the site of the Battle of the Alamo in 1836, a pivotal event of the Texas Revolution in which American folk heroes James Bowie and Davy Crockett were killed. Today it is a museum in the Alamo Plaza Historic District and a part of the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site.
Originally named the Misión San Antonio de Valero...

Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace National Historic Site is a recreated brownstone at 28 East 20th Street, between Broadway and Park Avenue South, in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, New York City. It is a replica of the birthplace and childhood home of 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt.
The house that originally stood on the site was built in 1848 and was bought by the Roosevelts in 1854. Theodore Roosevelt was born there on October 27, 1858, and lived in the house with h...

Still a mansion but far more comfortable/less grandiose than the Vanderbilt mansion a short drive away). Home Of Franklin D Roosevelt National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service) The main thing I remember about touring it was that FDR’s bedroom was between his mother’s and Eleanor’s, which has to equal a happy arrangement for everybody.
