First name of your first (for real) kiss (and any details):
Kim (8th grade, oh those eyes… Left me for some football player, the wench. )
Jim (he was in the army and left for Germany a few months later)
Naomi (13, and why I will always have a very warm place in my heart for summer theatre)
Stuart (17 - we had had some wine at a party and took a walk in th Autumn night air. It was soft and warm and I obsessed over him for the next two years. He’s a doctor now; I’m pretty sure he’s married with a couple of happy kids and maybe even a grandkid by now)
Judy (13 - had a sweet face but was a little cross-eyed and wore big glasses; was in middle school band with me - we agreed to go steady without really even knowing what that meant! Haven’t thought about her in years. =Sigh=).
Eileen (20 - She had dark curly hair and was sweetly sardonic. I was in love with her for four years, only had one real kiss, on the beach at night on the rocks-hugely intense and romantic.) (Name changed for privacy reasons as her actual name is very uncommon<<<delete this)

My spouse, who shall remain nameless. Age 20. On a bench next to a little creek in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Alex (female, back when that was still uncommon as a girl’s first name) – I was 19 or 20. She was the daughter of a veterinarian, and my current romantic partner is also a veterinarian, so I see Alex as a “gateway” of sorts into the fascinating world of equine medicine.

It’s always a bad idea to have a category that’s specific to an individual. It means each of us can only answer one time and that makes it easy for a category to stall. We need categories where people can submit multiple answers if necessary to keep it moving.

Becky
Lynne. I think it was at a school disco.
Maryann. The summer between grade 7 and grade 8, circa 1975. In retrospect, I can’t believe how nervous I was about the whole thing.

Jane (in a past life that I’m channeling because I want to kill this topic)
In my “defense”, I would like to note that the previous category also fell within the category of being specific to an individual and, imho, I thought it would be at least as easy to remember your first kiss as your first album purchase.
I don’t think it’s an issue of remembering. It’s an issue of specificity - for each person there’s only one first album or one first kiss so each person is limited to answering one time. With a topic like “Pizza combination toppings” people who’ve already answered once can bump the list forward when it slows down by answering a second time.
