I’m  by what happened in Sparky’s post (#15080.) Are we allowed to change answers with which we don’t agree?

I don’t think so.

It looks like Sparky merely copied the previous post without adding anything.

Please don’t change any answers:

  1. 2000: Disputed US Presidential election
  2. 2001: The 9-11 terrorist attacks
  3. 2002: Rescue of the trapped miners in Pennsylvania
  4. 2003: Explosion of space shuttle Columbia
  5. 2004: Passing of Ronald Reagen

No, he changed the 2002 answer.

As a side note, does anybody else notice a huge lag when hitting “quote” to reply to one of these? It’s very frustrating because I always feel like I’m racing against time. Maybe it’s time to start Baker’s Dozen 2 since we’re up to 300 pages?

(case in point: Annie-Xmas slipped in with her latest post before I could get this reply off.)

Actually, I simulposted, then tried to fix it with an edit and screwed the list up! Sorry, about that, but that’s a good point, what criteria are we using for the top stories? We’re talking big world news stories right, not local or national level stuff.

Whatever the poster feels is the biggest news story for that year (within common sense, of course.) It’s just a game, folks.

This has been happening to me for the past week or so.

I looked at the list of 2002’s top stories for the year and selected the one that meant the most to me - the category heading says “top stories” not “biggest story”

and  it’s only a game. :stuck_out_tongue:

I meant to also say… Quoting, for me, hasn’t been problematic. But usually I C&P and then add my entry.
