I’ve been thinking about trying it, but I’m frightened for some reason. Scared of breakouts, or burning skin. Anyone out there with experience?
On your head? Dear lord, why?
I can’t think of single benefit to using Nair over shaving. It’s not faster, it’s ineffective on thick hair, it can cause seriously uncomfortable skin issues, and please believe me when I tell you that it really doesn’t last enough longer than shaving to make it worthwhile. All of this I know from using it on legs and bikini line, so I can’t imagine it would work any better on your head.
I’m pretty sure that they’ll advise against use on the head and other sensitive areas. No farking way. Buy a decent razor.
- Shibb, who only shaves his head on Mondays and Fridays.
When I first started shaving my head, I figured I’d give it a try because I thought it’d be faster. Had to wear a hat for a while. Not a good idea, at least for me.

I’ve got a fine razor, but I’m just tired of having to shave it every 3 days to keep it “clean”.
Sounds like DianaG has the expertise to steer me away from giving this a shot.

Been shaving my head for the last 5 years. Just get yourself a decent razor. My choice is Schick Qauttro. Using a cheap razor will only result in lots of cuts. It’s worth the extra $$.
Nair is like Satan’s cum. It is evil, smelly, vile stuff that I would only use to remove hair from my worst enemy’s anus prior to pouring salt onto the burnt, puckered flesh. I mean, no. Whatever you do, do not use Nair. I know what it did to my calves when I tried it years ago, and cannot imagine enduring that on any other part of my body – especially an area as sensitive as my scalp. Just saying.

You put Nair on your cows? Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Alright, has anyone tried headblade?
Looks interesting, but not sure that the cost would be worth it.

That’s exactly what happened when I tried it. The smell and burning were godawful, and it didn’t even do a good job of removing the hair!
