Am I the only person addicteds to this game?
Baldur’s Gate? Hah! I got that monkey off of my back over a year ago.
Now, Baldur’s Gate II, that’s a different story…
I am currently Butt Kicking For Goodness all over the place.
Be a good boy and play Planescape: Torment. Baldur’s Gate was good, but Torment is the best ever.
Baldur’s Gate II is a lot closer to Planescape: Torment than it is to Baldur’s Gate I. Anybody who dug Planescape: Torment (on account of not being a moron) ought to dig Baldur’s Gate II.
I myself bought it just to tide myself over until Pools of Radiance II came out. I figured it would a considerable step down from Torment, because of how pathetic BG 1 had been in comparison. Well, I won’t say it’s as good as Torment, but it’s in the same orbit. Damn.
Am going to finish Icewind Dale before I start BGII.
Personally, am waiting for Neverwinter Nights.
It is so hard to save my money. I was a hopeless Torment addict, and I have heard enough good press about BGII to buy it for myself. But I need a new foil, so computer games have to take the back seat. I’m not sure if I am going to be able to resist Neverwinter Nights, though. That looks like it’s going to be a work of rare genius.

I was going to buy Baldur’s Gate II with my first paycheck.
Then my computer decided to blitz itself
The stuff of legends! Right Boo?
Crap. BG2 is out? Now I have to go back and finish BG1 (made it to BG (the city), then was given Diablo II for my birthday, and haven’t touched it since), then finishTSC*, and then go get BG2.
Right. No free time for the next month. I know how that works…
“Evil is all around. Be careful not to step in any.” Ah, the wisdom of Minsc.
no RPG has been playable since the ‘fallout’ series…
I’m glad they kept Minsc in BGII. If I hear “squeaky wheel gets the kick!” again I think I am going to bust my gut.

Can someone please tell me what the frick is so special about Diablo II? It looks and plays (IMHO, of course) just like Diablo. I really don’t see anything great or earth-shattering about it. I know the player classes and abilities have been expanded, yadda yadda yadda, and I know the game itself has more levels, but frankly, I’m getting bored off my ass walking around pounding the crap out of random packs of monsters.
I enjoyed this when Diablo came out, but it’s stiflingly boring nowadays.

Interplay might as well just take a cut of my paycheck everymonth. They own my ass. I have bought:
Fallout
Fallout II
Baldur’s Gate
Tales of the Sword Coast
Planescape: Torment
Icewind Dale
Baldur’s Gate II
And I’m planning to buy:
Heart of Winter
Pool of Radiance II
Neverwinter Nights
Fallout Tactics: The Brotherhood of Steel
muppetsoup, it was as difficult for me to accept as it will no doubt be for you, but bring me a stack of bibles and I will swear that Planescape: Torment is even better than either Fallout or Fallout II.
Hey muppetpoop, why don’t you play BG2 before spouting off, eh?
Like you’ve said to me before, “no no no, you have to [play] this thing. then give me your INFORMED opinion”.
Jump on my sword while you can Evil!!! I won’t be as GENTLE!!
I will Kill Firkaag!!! I will!!! Damn he is tough.
