I’m not trying to highjack the thread, but does anyone else disagree with the notion of a “free agent” submissive using the lower case i for herself or himself. To my mind, as someone who feels dominant but is just another free agent, I don’t think that the “i” form should be used until the submissive has found her or his owner.

However, in order to be any type of Albino you have to have inherited the Albino gene from both your father and mother.
If you only got one gene, then you’re just a carrier, not an Albino.
You are either are an Albino or you’re not. You either have the two genes or you dont.
Gender is not so easily defined. It’s determined by at least four things:
Chromosomal (Genetic) sex - e.g. XX or XY
Gonadal (hormonal) sex - e.g. ovaries producing oestrogen and progesterone or testes producing testosterone
Apparent (phenotypic) sex - e.g. female or male external genitalia
Psychological (behavioural) sex - e.g. brain sex, what gender you “feel” you are or what sex brain you have (there are physical differences in the male and female brain).
If any one of them is not in line with the others it could lead to you being percieved to be a member of one group when in fact you are (or precive yourself to be) a member of another group.
The brain not matching the other bits is the biggie.
So someone born with a female brain, despite the fact they are XY and have working male genitalia, is female. Hence DocCathode’s comment “One of the girls has a penis. This does not mean she is not a girl.”
While there is obviously genetic albinism, I’m unaware of psychological/behavioural albinism - e.g. having an “albino brain” which makes you albino even if the genetics dont match.
I am of course not a doctor, and it wouldn’t bloody surprise me if we suddenly discovered an “albino brain” or some such.

I assumed the person I heard in the interview was a male to female transsexual, because if I’m not mistaken, that is far more common than people who are genetically women with male genitalia. At any rate, I certainly meant no offense to anyone. Are you talking about a hermaphrodite, or is there another condition that I am unaware of? I looked at the thread you linked to, and I gave up after a couple pages; all the posts seemed to be either from genetic males who identified as female, or genetic females who identified as male. I’m sure the posts you are referring to are in there; I just don’t have the patience to spend an hour poring over the thread.
Tir Tinuviel - Getting way off-topic, but what do you mean by “female brain” or “male brain”? Is there any physical way to indentify the gender of a brain, were it to be seperated from the body besides genetic testing? And if so, are these physical brain characteristics present for people who are trans-gendered? It’s my understanding that many factors influence sexuality and sexual identity, including genetics, hormones, and environment. I’m certainly willing to be educated, but I’ve never heard of “female” or “male” brains before.

A male-to-female transsexual is not a “man”, regardless as to whether she’s had reassignment surgery. And if anything this amplifies the exploitative nature of the “employment” rather than diminishes it. Exploitation of the transgendered is a serious problem, and one that is made worse by the unwillingness of society to recognize and treat transsexualism as a birth defect instead of a “lifestyle choice”.

KellyM, I don’t think I was advocating any kind of bigotry toward transsexuals; I’m sorry if you got that idea.
The question that this all raises is: what is truly the definition of a “man” or a “woman”? Genitalia? Genes? Psychology? Brain structure? Sexual orientation? Gender identification? It starts to get murky. You seem to think it’s very clear cut, but I don’t see that it is.
And if showing women in role-playing games where they are submissive is degrading to all women in general, is showing submissive men degrading to all men in general? Should I be outraged by the recent ads on t.v. for the “American Pie” movie sequel that show a dominatrix spanking a man?
Things are murky indeed. The brain structure in question is the criteria I go by. However, at present it can’t be examined properly in living humans.

A lecture at the William Way LBGT center confirmed that the shemale, chick with dick, etc prostitute ads in the back of Philadelphia’s weekly papers were pre-op mtf transsexuals taking the only jobs they could get in order to raise funds for their surgery. State laws dealing with transsexuals vary wildly. It’s possible the mtf bambi took the job because turning tricks was her only other option.
If you’re a good looking tranny, then you can do photo shoots and the like instead of whoring, which means you’re a lot less likely to catch HIV. (There is no surgical clinic that will perform a reassignment on a patient with HIV.) So, yes, “shemale porn” is a preferred way to raise funds for surgery, if you’re not lucky enough to have a decent job. It’s definitely exploitative. If we treated reassignment as “correction of a birth defect” and generally funded it through insurance programs, the supply of shemale porn would be dramatically reduced.
If I should find myself without any other source of income, I would have to seriously consider that option myself, although I suspect I’d not have much luck at it as I don’t have big enough tits to pull it off, and I’d probably beg for donations before taking that route (asking for charity being less undignified in my eyes than posing nude for men’s sexual gratification).

Setting aside the whole question, on the off chance that I have been playing devil’s advocate so far, where’s the evidence that this penis-equipped Bambi-target-if-there-were-such-a-thing does indeed self-identify as female? It’s one thing to argue that you shouldn’t disqualify someone who happens to have been born with the necessary physical equipment to grow up with a beard, moustache, and big hairy bollocks from claiming that they are a girl. It’s another to point at a random dangly-bit-possessor and say “Oops, I haven’t a clue whether that’s a male or a female”. IME, assuming that someone with a visible willy is a guy works one hundred times per cent, and nitpicking to the point of saying “Well, you shouldn’t assume” may be praiseworthily considerate to the possible once-in-a-decade TGI sighting, but flies more than somewhat in the face of common sense.
