Band Reunions You'd Love (And Pay Good Money) To See

Van Halen - original lineup (that means Dave on vocals and Michael Anthony on bass)
Genesis with the Peter Gabriel-era lineup
Kinks - any line-up is acceptable as long as Ray and Dave are on the same stage and not trying to kill each other, although I’d prefer Mick Avory on drums.

OK, now I have this image of you coming down with some bizarre exotic disease that can be cured only by eating Sugarcubes tickets.

I’d only pay good money to see a Pink Floyd reunion if it was a REAL reunion - with Syd on vocals. Putting one former member back on stage is HARDLY a reunion…

ABBA

I would at least love to hear some more music from them.

Nothing so exotic I’m afraid. I caught mono June '89 and thought it would blow over after a month, so I bought tickets for a Sugarcubes/New Order show later in the summer. Needless to say the mono lasted much longer than I expected and couldn’t use my tickets. They never came around again and then broke up.

I’d kinda like to see a reunion of Evanescence. We had tickets to see them, but when we got there, we discovered that the show had been cancelled. I think they’d broken up between the time we bought the tickets and the time the show happened.

The original Three Dog Night lineup and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I realize there’s no chance CCR will reunite. too many law suits and bad blood

I keep hoping for a 5th Dimension tour. I don’t know what the problem is. Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis jr. are married. Shouldn’t be that hard to get the other members. Ron Townson died about ten years ago. So he has to be replaced.

It might not be as much fun as you think. The air of reverential seriousness is awfully heavy around them these years.

Oh yes.

Why do we need an ELO reunion? Everything Lynne has produced since dissolving the band has sounded like them anyway - Orbison, Harrison, Petty, Dave Edmunds, etc etc etc.

And I’m not trying to be snarky, well, maybe half-snarky. I’m a great fan of ELO, the “Out Of The Blue” show I saw way back when is still one of my top 5 concerts attended, own all their stuff on vinyl and CD, but really don’t see the need for them to reunite.

We saw CSN at Red Rocks this summer, it was ok I guess. It would have been more interesting with a little Y.

Also, Tom Fogerty is dead.

Forgot one…Uncle Tupelo!

Given their breakup history, this one may be the most unlikely of all
