Damn, all of the good ones have been taken already.
I’m stuck in the realm of sepculation: bands whose fans I have never met, but who are so annoying (and are obviously such huge fans of themselves already), that their actual fans must be well nigh unbearable, for whom I’ll nominate: Ween and The Roches.
As an aside, this thread makes me realize that just about eveyone who gets up on a stage can find themselves a rabid cult following. This brings to mind a concert my sister and I saw about 10-12 years ago. We went to see Take 6, one of the opening acts, and decided to stay for the main act: Al Jarreau.

I knew exactly one of his songs, and his style wasn’t quite my favorite, but the man can put on a show! I went home satisfied that my money had been well-spent.

If Al Jarreau’s house is ever attacked by waves of marauding brigands, he has nothing to fear, because there is an army of I’d say some 10,000 hysterical, crying middle-aged black women ready to lay their lives on the line for him. They don’t quite qualify for this thread, given that they were not annoying, but the intensity of their devotion was a physical thing in the air that night. Freaky.
