Are there any current bands/groups where there isn’t a single original member?
GWAR
Sepultura
Opeth
Misfits
Napalm Death
I Declare War
Loads of examples of this in metal; that’s just off the top of my head.
Geto Boyz
Previous threads here, here, and here.
Napalm Death is interesting as their debut album, Scum, had two completely different lineups on each side of the record. (No members from either side remain in the band.)
The membership of Renaissance had completely changed by the time of their third album. (Called Prologue, many people think it’s actually their debut record.)
For a short time, the band Yes was out of original members once Chris Squire died; but recently, Jon Anderson (who was touring under the name “Anderson, Rabin & Wakeman”) decided he was going to use the “Yes” name after all.
Just a guess, but probably bands such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra?
And the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Yes.
I wanted to say that all the members of Marillion changed between their creation and their second album, but as it turns out guitarist Steve Rothery was an original member (and is in fact still in the band). But still, they had high turnover in their first years.
Glenn and Jerry are current members.
Soft Machine.
Thin Lizzy still tours but doesn’t put out new music. I don’t believe anyone is original, though I do believe some of them played in the 70s/80s. I wouldn’t see them since to me Thin Lizzy is Phil.
Well, The Fall, obviously, after this week’s news.
