You’d be right about Gnutella, in that it doesn’t opporate from a central server. However, I can tell you from personal experience that Gnutella is very, very, very, very slow. Though this is just my personal experience.
I’d have to go with Jvanhorn and suggest Cute MX. I’ve used their FTP program for a long time, and their file downloading program is great. That’s the other great thing about it: IT IS FOR DOWNLOADING ANY TYPE OF FILE. Napster is just for mp3’s. You can download movie files, exe. files (though I wouldn’t recommend this) and any other kind of file you can think of. Also, people can only get files from you if they are in one of your designated folders.
