dantheman - I didn’t say “badly”, I said “in exactly the same way”. What is “bad” at our board may not be considered “bad” at another board.
Anyway, if you want to continue this discussion, I will start an IMHO thread to discuss the more generic issue, “does a difference in message boards cause a difference in behaviour?” I’m not really interested in a Fathom vs. SDMB comparison.

I had already wondered about the advisability of bringing up old issues in this thread, and now I’m guilty of the same thing. My apologies to all concerned.

OpalCat, I apologize to you too for seeming to want to start an argument in this thread. If you wish to continue the discussion on the board I can do that if you want to open another thread. I have a small idea of how difficult it is to administer a message board and I think you’ve done an admirable job with the hardware/software/posters over at Fathom.

There are only one or two posters who behave annoyingly [who are common, regular posters] and for the most part, they tend to cause less disruption there than they did here. I think that is likely because fewer posters = fewer hands feeding the troll. Just by percentages, you know.

But most (if not all) of the people that were banned here and then went over to post at 3FMB do the same thing, post in the same way, at 3FMB as they did over here.
The difference is that behaviour that causes banning at the SDMB does not necessarily cause banning at 3FMB.
